Verbena

In terms of soil, the shrub prefers fresh, sandy to loamy soil with a neutral pH. Verbena blooms for a long time, throughout the summer until October. The color of the flowers depends on the variety, because the flowering shrubs can have not only single-colored, but even multicolored flowers.

Although they are considered hardy because their buds can withstand temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius, their flowers are quite sensitive to frost.

Accordingly, it feels most comfortable in a sunny to partially shaded location. In relation to the subsoil, a loose, permeable and nutrient-rich soil with a pH value between 5.5 and 8 is optimal for the shrub.
