  • matching filter: The filter capacity must match the size and frequency of use. A small pool that the whole family spends in every day will get dirty faster than a large pool that is only used by one or two people or infrequently.

Step by step

Cleaning a cartridge filter is very easy when you know the right steps.

  1. Turn off and open filters: Please note the information provided by the manufacturer. The pump must be out of service and unplugged from the power supply. Then the cover over the filter cartridge is removed.
  2. Remove cartridge: As a rule, it is sufficient to turn them out of the holder. Again, you should refer to the instructions for use.
  3. Cleaning: The cartridge is now rinsed out with a garden hose. We recommend using a garden hose to flush from the outside in and from the bottom up. This loosens the dirt in the filter medium and can flow out together with the water.
  4. Soaking: An alternative or additional step is soaking. You can use either filter cleaner, a solution of six parts water to one part chlorine, or concentrated vinegar. As a result, microorganisms die and subsequent rinsing becomes easier and more thorough.

Notice: Cleaning the cartridge filter in the dishwasher is recommended again and again. However, this brings with it several problems and should therefore be avoided.

Slightly acidic water offers less attack surface for lime, algae and aquatic life. A quantity of 100 milliliters per cubic meter of water is enough to protect the filter. Alternatively, chlorine can be used.
